larsen fanzine (france/french)
RJRPRES: very interesting part of the fantastic world of french alternative, garage rock & soul fanzines. came in form of a cd-format mag/mini-cd or 7"-mag/ep of new exclusive tracks. covered both french & international groups + comix.

latin beat magazine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: american monthly concentrating on various aspects of the latin music scene both historical & current. articles & reviews are written in english or spanish. a very valuable source of information within its field.

latin percussionist (usa/english)
RJRPRES: slim but interesting bi-annual zine covering latin percussion music through interviews, columns, workshops, solo transcriptions & reviews. formerly titled (first 2 issues): latin american percussion newsletter.

leak cd magazine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: american magazine subtitled: the source for contemporary acoustic & rock music. covers mostly new artists within folk and related musics, plus some rock. transcribed lyrics to all songs included on the cd.

left of the dial (usa/english)
RJRPRES: very promising zine covering mostly alternative rock, punk (& related) through extensive interviews & feature articles. absolutely recommended.

lemon (australia/english)
RJRPRES: australian alternative rock fanzine covering both the national & international scenes through interviews & record reviews. comes with hard-vinyl singles.

lil- rhino gazette (usa/english)
RJRPRES: american fanzine covering alternative music (+ comix) through nice long interviews & lots of reviews. absolutely worth checking out.

lime lizard (uk/english)
RJRPRES: glossy british indie-rock monthly. comes with a cassette. lots of interviews & reviews on mostly new acts. discontinued, but restarted as the new magazine: the lizard.

*lira (sweden/swedish)
RJRPRES: swedish bimonthly covering folk & world music both national & international through articles & record reviews. fills a void in the scandinavian music press. easy to recommend. comes with a free cd.

*living blues (usa/english)
RJRPRES: excellent long-running american blues bimonthly. informative historical articles, interviews and an extensive record review section make this one of the best blues publications worldwide. strongly recommended.

living tradition (the) (uk/english)
RJRPRES: bi-monthly covering traditional music mostly from ireland, scotland & britain. feature articles/interviews, live reviews & extensive record reviews make this excellent magazine worth your attention.

lizard (poland/polish)
RJRPRES: excellent polish quarterly covering rock, prog, psychedelia & fusion. easy to recommend if you read polish. current print status uncertain.

lizard (the) (uk/english)
RJRPRES: new british bimonthly mag covering indie rock and other current music trends. strong record reviews and generally interesting articles make this a promising start.

lo-fi (usa/english)
RJRPRES: bills itself as the magazine all about today-s retro cool culture. covers garage, rockabilly, surf, ska, instro rock etc.

lollipop magazine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: monthly mag covering mostly alternative/indie rock, punk etc plus some movies. worth your attention.

long live vinyl (uk/english)
RJRPRES: new british magazine for record collectors, subtitled: the new magazine for vinyl lovers. off to an interesting start with a good mix of articles incl.discographical presentations, record & equipment reviews etc. worth your attention.

longueur d-ondes (sur la meme) (france/french)
RJRPRES: french rock quarterly concentrating mostly on the national rock scene. valuable primarily for this french content and its willingness to give space to new acts. short-lived new bi-monthly formula.

loops (uk/english)
RJRPRES: bi-annual journal of music writing from domino records & faber and faber. extensive essays on various themes & artists within the popular music/rock world. highly recommended.

loose lips sink ships (uk/english)
RJRPRES: beautiful new zine from steve gullick of careless talk costs lives. articles & interviews mostly covers alternative/indie rock, but touches on a variety of popular musics. high quality photography & layout.

lost and found (usa/english)
RJRPRES: excellent annual zine covering rock & roll from the 1950s & 1960s. each issue concentrating on the local scene in one or two states. important source of information. highly recommended.

lost in tyme (greece/english)
RJRPRES: excellent greek garage & psych rock zine covering both the national & international scenes. comes with a free cd of exclusive material. strongly recommended. resurfaced again. gone again...

loud fast rules (usa/english)
RJRPRES: american quarterly covering punk rock and related from the 70s to the 00s. lots of interviews with both known & fairly unknown artists/groups + a free cd. well worth seeking out.

louder than war (uk/english)
RJRPRES: new british quarterly magazine consentrating on old & new indie & alternative rock, post-punk etc etc (& the weird...). off to a good start with some interesting articles. well worth your attention.

lowlife (usa/english)
RJRPRES: interesting american fanzine covering a wide variety of mostly experimental/alternative rock.
